Marvin joined the Navy in 1942 he went to landing craft school in San Diego. Then in Guadalcanal\, he boarded the George Climer APA 27 which landed troops from island to island in the Pacific. The George Climer was also worked as a supply ship stationed in New Zealand. Marvin reached the rank of Yeoman 1st class and was awarded\, Navy Good Conduct Medal\, World War II Victory Medal\, American Campaign Medal\, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal (w/1 silver star appurtenance)\, Navy Occupation Service Medal (w/Asia Clasp)\, China Service Medal\, Combat Action Ribbon\, Discharge Button\, Honorable Service Lapel Pin (Ruptured Duck)\, Philippine Liberation Medal (w/ 1 bronze star appurtenance)\, Philippine Presidential Unit Citation (Navy). It will be  our honor to do so. \nPetty  Officer Biondolillo entered the Navy March of 1943 and served until  December 1945 in the Asiatic and Pacific Theaters.   He was a submariner  serving aboard the USS THORNBACK (SS-418) earning the Victory Medal  with 1 star. \nAfter  leaving the military he went to work with Dow Chemical from which he  retired.  He loved to dance and enjoyed the old swing big band music.   He was an avid bowler and golfer.   He was an all around athelete.  He  is survived by his daughter\, two sons\, five grandchildren\, 8 great  grandchildren\, and 1 great great grandchild.   \nThe  family has requested that we provide a motor escort from the Woodstock  Funeral Home\, 8855 Main Street\, Woodstock\, GA 30188 to the Georgia  National Cemetery\, Canton\, GA. \nGeorgia National Cemetery\n1080 Scott Hudgins Drive\nCanton\, GA 30114 \nWe  will assemble at Woodstock Funeral Home NLT 0810 and line up for the  escort to GNC. Loya has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders to honor this American Hero; it will be our honor to do so. \nManuel was born on 12 September 1958 and entered into Eternal Rest on 23 July 1965. \nManuel proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1976 to 1981. Manuel’s MOS in the Marine Corps was Heavy Vehicle Operator. The awards he received while in the Marine Corps included the Good Conduct Medal\, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and the Pistol Sharp Shooter Badge. \nIn 1985 Manuel was interred at a cemetery in Fresno because legally his mother was his next of kin\, however\, his home and kids were in the Riverside and Orange County area and the children have requested that he be disinterred and interred at Riverside National Cemetery\, close to home. \nAt the time of his passing Manuel was engaged to Gloria Fuentes and together had one daughter\, and was expecting a baby. Both are now grown adults and legal next of kin. \nAlso at that time Manuel was survived by his parents\, many siblings\, nieces\, nephews\, extended family and friends. \nManuel’s primary focus was spending time with his fiancée Gloria and his children. \nNOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.
