DESCRIPTION:​AT2 Gary James Kline\, USN\, Canton\, GA\, Thursday\, 16 JUN 16 \n\nThe Patriot Guard Riders of Georgia has received a request from the family of Petty Officer Gary Kline\, to be present and stand in honor and respect for their HERO during his inurnment service at Georgia National Cemetery\, Canton\, GA.   Petty Officer Kline stood for us and so now we shall be honored to stand for him.  AT2 Kline served our great nation in the U.S. Navy serving aboard the USS AMERICA (CV-66) and the USS INDIANAPOLIS  (CA-35) providing support for operations in Vietnam.  He entered the Navy in 1972 and served until his honorble discharge in June 1982.  PO2 Kline earned the Good Conduct Medal (2)\, National Defense Service Medal\, Sea Service Ribbon (2)\, and the Navy Battle Efficiency “E” Ribbon.   Mr. Kline held the level of Master Mason with the Euclid Masonic Lodge #599\, in Cleveland\, Ohio.  In his spare time he enjoyed sailing on a nearby lake. DESCRIPTION:Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders: \nOnce again the PGR has the honor and privilege to stand for one of our MIA heroes.  After over 60 years Sgt. Harold Sparks is coming home.  Sgt. Sparks went to Ballard High School and graduated from West Seattle High in 1946 and shortly after joining the Army. One of Sgt. Duties was to clean the Nazi Concentration Camps at the end of WWII. \nHe was then assigned to the 1st Calvary Division in North Korea. Sgt. Sparks Unit was attacked  November 1950. Sgt. Patterson to stand a Flag Line and escort their loved one to his final resting place. \nBob served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Navy.  Bob passed away on 12 June 2016 at the age of 78.  Bob was a member of the Scottish Rite Masonic organization as well as the International Association of Firefighters. \nThe PGR will stage at 9:45am on Thursday 16 June 2016 at Hutson Funeral Home\, 601 W. Main Street in Steelville\, MO.  A briefing will be held at 10:00am followed by a Flag Line from 10:15am-11:00am. AT2 Kline served our great nation in the U.S. Navy serving aboard the USS AMERICA (CV-66) and the USS INDIANAPOLIS  (CA-35) providing support for operations in Vietnam.  He entered the Navy in 1972 and served until his honorable discharge in June 1982.  PO2 Kline earned the Good Conduct Medal (2)\, National Defense Service Medal\, Sea Service Ribbon (2)\, and the Navy Battle Efficiency “E” Ribbon. \nMr. Kline held the level of Master Mason with the Euclid Masonic Lodge #599\, in Cleveland\, Ohio.  In his spare time he enjoyed sailing on a nearby lake. As part of The Pacific Fleet he served among others aboard USS Wasp (CV-7) was a United States Navy aircraft carrier commissioned in 1940 and lost in action in 1942. On Tuesday\, 15 September 1942\,A spread of six Type 95 torpedoes were fired at Wasp at about 14:44 from the tubes of the B1 Type submarine I-19. Wasp put over her rudder hard to starboard to avoid the salvo\, but it was too late. 193 men had died and 366 were wounded during the attack. USMC\, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to join them in honor and remembrance of their loved one at a graveside service.  Sgt. A flag will be posted at the turn-off on 126 and at the turn-off from Hwy 62/412.\n \nSERVICE: This will be a graveside service-No escort.  Service is to begin at 2:00 p.m.\, we will form a flag line at the graveside\, beginning at 1:30 p.m.  \n \nWEATHER:  Forecast to be sunny\, 93 deg. Dress accordingly. DESCRIPTION:The family of Jay Sutton has invited the Patriot Guard to stand a flag line in honor of his life and service to our country. \nJay served in the US Marine Corps.  Shortly after graduation from Harding High School in 1964\,  Jay  enlisted in the US Marines Corps. He was assigned to Kilo Company\, Third Battalion\, Seventh Marines and deployed to Vietnam. He was involved in Operations Morgan\, Jackson\, Prairie\, Sterling and Desoto was awarded the purple heart\,  He never missed a Kilo 3-7 reunions and hosted the 2005 reunion in Minnesota. \nFrom his family:  Jay was a huge supporter of the Patriot Guard and wanted you all to be part of his service.  He mentioned this each year at Wreaths Across America.  Jay attended every memorial service for a fallen Marine held in Minnesota and surrounding states.  He made sure to also attend every Welcome Home for the US Marines and Army Solders.  If he noticed that a Soldier had no one to greet them he would say “Semper Fi\, Can I buy you a hot meal and a drink soldier?”.  I once asked how he knew know nobody was there to greet the Soldier and he said “You just know by the look in their eyes.” \nPlease come out and stand in silent tribute to Jay’s life and service to our country. \nJune 16th\, 2016. \n1:00 pm – Stage Lane A (along fence on 34th Ave S) at Ft Snelling National Cemetery\n1:30 pm – Brief\n2:00 pm – Interment \nEstimated release: 3:00 pm \nDismissal at RCIC’s discretion. \nThis is a rain\, or shine mission.
