Scott National Cemetery 14 June. \nHero Ed Babcock was born 01 May 1944 in Utica\, NY and passed away 26 December 2015.  True in his spirit of giving\, Sergeant Babcock has just returned to us after offering himself to science. \nSergeant Babcock served his country in the United States Air Force in Vietnam from 1961-1965 with the 40th Field Maintenance Squadron Strategic Air Command.  While in the Air Force he received the Air Force Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.  He mustered out of the 838th Transportation Squadron (TAC) while receiving his honorable discharge. \nEd’s service to his country continued after his service in the Air Force while serving in the American Legion\, the American Legion Riders\, and the Patriot Guard Riders. \nI am honored to stand the flag line for Ed as he did for my father almost 3 years ago when I first met him. \nStaging: \n1205 hrs. Cleghorn\, who found peace  at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Richmond\, VA on 31 May 2016\, after a six month struggle with cancer.\nMr. Cleghorn was born in Detroit\, MI 4 December 1942.  On 10 August 1960 he joined the Navy to serve our country and was honorable discharged 03 December 1963.\nWilliam was a retired City of Richmond Firefighter\, EMT and also served on the department’s Dive Team.  He was an active member of the Red Knights.\nMr. Cleghorn is survived by two children and the  proud grandfather of six grandchildren. \nStage:  10:00am / Ridge Baptist Church\, 1515 E. DESCRIPTION:A military family must say good-bye to Technical Sergeant (Ret) John Anthony Raynes\, Sr. on Tuesday. They have requested that his many year of service in the United States Air Force be honored by the presence of Patriot Guard Riders. \nTSgt Raynes served for more than 20 years in the Air Force before separating from service in 2001. He was called on for several deployments in combat and non-combat zones. The family has a strong military tradition with both the ancestors and descendants of TSgt Raynes serving in uniform. \nPlease join with your fellow Patriot on Tuesday as we honor the long and faithful service of a man who followed and then passed on the tradition of military service. TSgt Raynes enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Brad attained  the rate of Seaman\, Ship’s Serviceman  Striker (SHSN).   \nBrad was an avid Harley Davidson  rider who just bought a trike  last year due to a medical condition as  he has been riding 60 years and wouldn’t  give it up.  He instilled the  love  of motorcycling in his family and they are all active riders.   \nBrad served during a very difficult  time in American history.  He was willing to give his life to keep  us  free.
