He served 1961-62 in the Air Force where he earned the rank of Airman 1st Class. A1C Seckel helped to maintain and flew aboard KC135 Tankers. These planes were the life blood of the famous B52 long range bombers. In-air refueling kept the B52 flying strategic long range missions. \nAfter service he went on and lived a life to celebrate: worked long hours\, raised a fine family and served as Commander of the Westminster American Legion.
