SUMMARY:HOTH
DESCRIPTION:Our unofficial mascot WWII vet Jack is returning from Normandy on the 9th of June. We will have a welcome home for him at the Springfield/Branson airport that afternoon. Parking will be in the employee parking lot. Since this event is during the afternoon and flights are departing and returning to the airport\, please refrain from parking bikes on the sidewalk.\n\n\nOn the 30th before his departure for the D-day ceremonies in Normandy Jack was retroactively promoted to CPO. If you didn’t get a chance to come to the airport and congratulate him\, now is your chance. This will probably be his last trip and the promotion is the last item on his bucket list. Way to go Jack.\n\n\nYes\, Kent\, I will be bringing the Chocolate cake.\n\n\nStage 2:30\nBriefing 2:45\nFlag line to follow briefing \n\n—\nHolly Anthony\ngofer12.ha@gmail.com

Every effort possible is made in planning and executing the PGR Mission statement in a manner that minimizes the inherit dangers of riding a motorcycle\, including riding in groups of all sizes and any situation. While the NCPG and its riders have a remarkable safety record in the execution of our missions\, infrequently members have been injured in unforeseen accidents. In an effort to mitigate the risk of preventable accidents\, all attendees who wish to ride in a Patriot Guard motorcycle escort or ride are asked to attend the pre-mission briefing. It will include a safety briefing\, and any unique ride information known to our RCIC that may be specific to the mission. Member safety and well-being is always a principal ongoing concern. Our RCIC’s are asked to stand-down from any mission that cannot be accomplished in relative safety or present unreasonable risk. This includes both rides and flag lines in inclement weather and conditions. It remains each individual PGR member’s responsibility to ride within their own comfort zone and be cognizant of their surroundings and skill limitations as well as any physical needs or limitations. If the ride and/or mission conditions present challenges beyond your skill\, comfort\, or needs you are expected to exercise good judgment in foregoing any planned participation.

SUMMARY:Memorial
DESCRIPTION:Re-dedication of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial\, Beaverton\, OR — 9/JUN/16 \nLadies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders\, we have been invited by the American Legion Beaverton Post #124 to participate in their rededication of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The Memorial was built in part with life insurance money received from the government by the parents of Marine Cpl Richard A. Janigian\, who died just ten days shy of completing his tour of duty in Vietnam. However\, the Memorial is a tribute to all Oregonians lost during the Vietnam War. This Memorial was the first of its kind in the United States and was dedicated by Gov Tom McCall in June 1968. \nBeaverton Post #124 and its affiliate\, the Beaverton Veterans Memorial Management Corporation\, has restored and relocated the Memorial. It has been displayed on the Beaverton Elks Lodge building for almost fifty years\, but due to the sale of the building and the building’s renovation\, the Memorial was in jeopardy. It will now have a place of honor in the Beaverton Veterans Memorial Park in respect for those lost during the war; and for all Vietnam Era Veterans who served and sacrificed for their Country. Please join us as we help honor those who served during the Vietnam years. \nMission Date: Thursday\, 9/JUN/16 \nRide Captain:\nJohn Hanan II\n503-804-0002\njohn@jh2design.com \nStaging Location:\nBeaverton Veterans Memorial Park\nSW Watson Ave\nBeaverton\, OR 97005 \nStaging Time: 12:30 pm \nBriefing: 12:45 pm \nFlag line Set: As needed \nCeremony Begins: 1:00 pm (we are welcome to stay for the ceremony) \n***Bikes will have a parking area on Washington St side on the Park.
