  1. Mission Complete: 13 November 2020 – Yukon High School game ball delivery, Veterans appreciation football game, HOTH Mission

On Friday November 13, 2020 there were 5 Patriot Guard Riders on 3 bikes and 1 cage to Honor the Military Service of US service members, veteran’s and their families.

Staging was held at Yukon Independence Intermediate School, 500 E Vandament Avenue
Yukon, OK. adjacent to the High School stadium.

The briefing was held, followed by a moment of silence for the Blue, Silver & Gold Star families, POWs and MIAs. A prayer asking for a safe mission and protection for our military personnel engaged in the Global War on Terror was also said.

The PGR then mounted up for the short ride to the football stadium where we circled the track and stopped in front of the home stands. Riders dismounted and stood for the presentation of colors by the Mustang JROTC Color Guard and the National Anthem played by the Pride of Yukon Marching Band. The riders then presented the game ball to Corporal Eddie “Mac” McFadden. Corporal McFadden then presented the game ball to the team captains’ and tossed the coin for the coin toss.

Riders then mounted their bikes and rode to the North end of the field where they received 70 flags from the football players that ran across the field proudly displaying the flags before many veterans and military families attending the Military appreciation game. Flags were furled by the Riders with the help of the Football Boosters parents and students.

The Ride Captain thanked and dismissed the riders after the Flags were stowed in the Flag trailer.

Thank you to all of my fellow Patriot Guard Riders for attending this mission. Your presence made a positive impact on this community, football players, veterans, military personnel and their families. Most of all, thank you to our veterans, it was an honor to serve you today.
    Respectfully,
    RC Wes “MAC” McAtee
