DESCRIPTION:YNC FREDERICK MORRIS YOUNG\, 84\nUS NAVY RETIRED\nJACKSONVILLE\, FL\nTHURSDAY\, JUNE 30\, 2016\n\n\n\n\nThe  Family and Friends of YNC Frederick Morris Young\, US Navy (Ret)  requests the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders to Honor their Hero on  Thursday\, June 30\, 2016 at his committal. \nYNC  Young graduated from Springfield High school and completed many classes  while in the Navy.  As planned\, Fred joined the Navy July 1950 prior to  being called to duty.  He faithfully stayed in the Navy for over 22  plus years. He received many medals including the Navy Good Conduct  Medal (6)\, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and National Defense Service  Medal.  During his service he served in many locations; Patrol Squadron  26\, NAS Patuxent River\, MD; Staff Eleventh Naval District\, San Diego\,  CA; Fleet Weather Facility\, Sangley Point\, P.I.; VT-1 NAAS Saufley  Field\, Pensacola\, FL; NAS Jacksonville FL ; JUSMAG Athens\, Greece.   Frederick M. Young\, Chief Yeoman\, United States Navy\, retired on  September 1972.  He will be laid to rest at 1000 (10:00 AM) at Jacksonville National Cemetery. \nYNC  Young proudly served this country well and faithfully.
