DESCRIPTION:Updated 15 Mar 08 at 2225 EDT by Cagerbob\n \n\nShort notice mission for Wilson Foreman\, WWII Army Veteran 17 Mar. 08\, Austin\, TX \n\nThe family of Wilson Foreman have requested the participation of the PGR in services for this Army veteran of WWII. \nThe funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday\, 17 MAR 08 at Riverbend Church’s Smith Family Chapel\, 4214 Capital of Texas Highway (Loop 360)\, with burial following at the Texas State Cemetery. \nMr. Foreman was a good friend of Robert Stancil\, one of Austin’s PGR Ride Captains.  He had this to say about him: \n“A very close friend of mine passed away last night.  His name is Wilson Foreman\,he served in the Army Air Corps as a radio operator 1943-1947. He also served as a member of the Texas House of Representatives for 16 years\, among many other noteworthy accomplishments including handling the bill that allowed Lyndon Johnson to run for US Senator and Vice President with Senator John F. Kennedy at the same time.  He was also the Honorary chairman of central Texas for the election of President George W. Bush in 2000.” \nWe also found out that Mr. Foreman served as a volunteer for 24 years with the Boy Scouts of America even though he had no sons.
