William Wayne Kennedy, Veteran, PGR

ABOUT THE MISSION:

SPC William Wayne Kennedy passed away at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta Friday March 20, 2020. Wayne joined the army on March 21,1969 and after basic training, at Fort Jackson S.C., he received the MOS of 12A10, Pioneer Bridge Builder. After basic training training, PFC Kennedy was stationed at Qui Nhon, Republic of Vietnam. Some of his awards were as follows; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Medal. SP4 Kennedy was discharged at Phan Rang Air Base, United States Army Republic of Vietnam. After Wayne’s military career his passion in life was being a truck driver and riding motorcycles. After retiring from truck driving, Wayne decided to join the Patriot Guard Riders. Wayne was known as,”POPS”, he was selfless to others and dedicated to his family and others.

Special Instructions:

We will stand one hour flag line prior to the service. We will follow social distancing with a minimum of six feet apart.  After the service begins we will take up the flag line and prepare for the Rolling Honor Guard to Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Ga.

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
