ABOUT THE MISSION:
USN Veteran Seaman Apprentice (E2) William Scoggins is an Unaccompanied Veteran. The funeral home requested that the PGR be present at the cemetery with a flag line to honor William so he would not be buried without any honors. Eighty-nine year old Seaman Scoggins served for a year in the in the US Navy, being discharged on 5 April 1950. We will meet the funeral director at Fort Stanton State Veterans’ Cemetery and form a flag line for his interment.

We will form a flag line at Fort Stanton and follow any requests from the cemetery director or the funeral director to honor this unaccompanied veteran.We will stop to flag up vehicles just before we arrive at the cemetery.Please make every effort possible to attend this mission so a veteran doesn’t have to be alone for his funeral service.
