The family of William James Glazier has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to help honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

At the age of 19 William Glazier enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from May 1945 to Oct 1947. He was awarded the Asia Pacific Theater Ribbon, Army Occupation Ribbon and the WWII Victory Medal. He was deployed to points unknown in the Pacific when the armistice with Japan was signed.

William was drafted out of high school by the Pittsburgh Pirates and played division level baseball with the occupation force in Japan. He enjoyed skiing, hockey and exercising.

We have been asked to perform a Flag line at St. Elizabeth Seton Church and accompaniment to our Hero’s final resting place at Miramar National Cemetery.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church to his final resting place. For those who would prefer to go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate.
