ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of William James McDermaid has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to stand in honor of his service to our country. William served his country as a Surgical Tech and a medic in the European Theater during WWII. William received the Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon W/1 Bronze Battle Star, Overseas Service Bar and the Good Conduct Medal. Upon being honorably discharged from the Army William returned to Mt. Morris and began to work for AC Spark Plug until his retirement. Mr. McDermaid also served his community for 26 years as a proud member of the Mt. Morris Volunteer Fire Department. Please come out to honor this member of The Greatest Generation for his life long service.
