We have been honored with an invitation to stand a flag line at RDU as his remains arrive and to escort him and his family back to Nash County (Rocky Mount). We will also stand a flag line at the funeral home when PFC Jones arrives home. This will be a two part mission.PFC Jones was a member of Company E\, 2nd Battalion\, 24th Infantry Regiment\, 25th Infantry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on November 26\, 1950. He was presumed dead on December 31\, 1953. PFC Jones was awarded Purple Heart\, Combat Infantryman’s Badge\, Korean Service Medal\, United Nations Service Medal\, National Defense Service Medal\, Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
