Medals and awards earned during his tours of duty: Purple Heart Medal\, National /defense Medal\, Navy Unit Commendation\, Good Conduct Medal\, Vietnamese Service Medal\, RVNCamp Medal\, Rifle Marksmanship Badge. He distinguished himself in multiple battles including Operation Starlite and his family is working to have him honored with the Silver Star Medal posthumously.
