William Edward Peevy, Veteran
Springfield, Missouri – 06-08-20
ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of USAF Airman 2nd Class William Edward “Bill” Peevy, has honored the Patriot Guard Riders with a request for a flag line and final salute, then an escort to the gate of our hero’s final resting place, the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO. Hero Peevy served proudly and honorably in the US Air Force and rose to the rank of Airman 2nd Class (E-3). He logged over three years’ service in Seiglebach, Germany, as a Communications Center Specialist with the 2005th Communications Squadron. After his four years active duty he served an additional two in the Air Force Reserves. Among his awards he earned the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. His family has delayed his service hoping for the Missouri Veterans Cemetery to reopen, but unfortunately that is not the case, so they chose to proceed anyway.
