It is with a heavy heart that I must report America has lost another of the Greatest Generation.
PFC William C Thomas JR served during WWII from 1942 to 1945. He was in the Pacific Theater and received the bronze Star for merit.
This is a one-day two-stage mission. We will stand a flag line at his church then escort to Georgia National Cemetery where we will have a flag line for the interment. The interment time is 14:00 HRS.
Stage One: Assemble at Rolling Springs Baptist Church 79 Rowland Springs Road, Cartersville, GA 30121
NLT 09:30 HRS where we will have a visitation flag line until 12:00 HRS. At this time, we will line up for the escort.
Stage two: Approx. 13:20 HRS we will have KSU to escort to Georgia National Cemetery, Veterans Cemetery RD Canton, GA a distance of 10.5 miles. Stopping at the PIC building then moving to the assigned shelter.
IF MEETING AT Georgia National Cemetery arrive there NLT 13:30 HRS at the PIC building where we will stage and then move to the assigned shelter.
There is an Honor Mission the same day and if you are going to do that mission feel free to stop and honor this veteran on you way back.
Weather calls for 70% chance of rain, cages may be in order, be safe.
