ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family has asked the Patriot Guard to stand for their hero, and we are honored to do so. Mr. Flurry served in the U.S. Marines from 1965 through 1969, and deployed to Vietnam where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart, among other medals and awards. After his service in the Marines he became a Corrections Officer and retired from the Department of Corrections at Georgia State Prison in 1989.
