ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of Willard Ackelson has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders for an escort and to stand a flag line for his military honors. It will be a privilege and an honor to participate.
Willard was a United States Army veteran. He served in the United States Army at the end of World War II from 1946 to 1947. He was released from active duty and honorably discharged in September 1947. Willard earned the World War II Victory Medal and Marksman Badge (M1 Rifle).

Immediately following briefing we will escort our hero and his family to Mesa City Cemetery for 11:15 A.M. Military Honors.

It is with heavy heart that I offer sincere condolences to the family of an American Hero.
May the memories of your Hero carry you through the days and years to come.

I extend my most heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Willard E. Ackelson, US Army WWII Veteran. During this most difficult time, I pray you peace. I will forever be grateful for his service, sacrifice, and dedication to our country. Rest easy now, Sir…those you have left behind to carry on without you have the watch.
My deepest condolences to the family and friends of our Hero. Hope you can hold on to all the good memories that you shared.
