ABOUT THE MISSION:
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders, we have been invited to stand for Wilhelm Louis Guttormsen, age 95. Wilhelm served in the US Navy from 2 June 1941 to 12 October 1945 on the USS Boise (CL-47) and the USS Toro (SS-422). He was Honorably Discharged at the Rate of Electrician’s Mate Second Class (Submarine Service) (E5). He earned the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/2 bronze service stars, the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal w/2 bronze service stars, the American Area Campaign Medal, the Submarine Combat Insignia w/1 gold service star, the WWII Victory Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. Please join us as we pay our respects and honor his service to our nation.
