He was a Operation Desert Storm/ Shield Veteran\, followed as a civil service employee at Little Rock AFB\, Arkansas and later at the Army Recruiting Office in Little Rock until his final retirement in 2013. He was Honorably Discharged at the rank of MSgt. His Awards include; Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon w/1 device\, NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon w/ 1 device\, AF Longevity Service Award w/ 5 devices\, Overseas Service Long Tour Ribbon w/1 device\, AF Training Ribbon\, AF Outstanding Unit Award w / 7 devices\, AF Good Conduct Medal w/ 5 devices\, AF Commendation Medal\, National Defense Service Medal w/1 device. Mr Maddox is survived by his wife of 46 years\, 1 daughter\, 1 brother\, 2 sisters\, 2 nephews. He loved being outside\, whether it be tending to his vegetable garden\, fishing \, hunting\, or exploring the world on his motorcycle.
