HOTH Mission
Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day
Baltimore, Maryland – 03-22-20

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by Gilchrist Hospice Care to be part of their Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day Celebration.  Gilchrist is a nonprofit organization that provides care, counseling and support for people with serious illnesses, through the end of life.  Nearly 12 percent of their hospice patients are Veterans and many of them served during the Vietnam Era.  Gilchrist’s Welcome Home celebration honors the Veterans they serve each day, as well as all of the Veterans in their community.  The PGR will be there to stand a flag-line as Veterans, Families and Special guests arrive for this event.  We have also been invited to stay for lunch and the guest speakers, Joseph Lee Galloway, America’s premier war and foreign correspondent for more than half a century and Kimberly Mitchell, President and CEO of Veterans Village of San Diego, a nationally recognized leader in serving homeless Veterans.
