Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Celebration

ABOUT THE MISSION:
On March 30, 2019, American Legion Post 93 in Camp Verde will be honoring our Vietnam veterans with the 8th Annual Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans’ Day Celebration. There will be a motorcycle procession from the Elks Lodge in Sedona, AZ to the Historic Fort Verde State Park in Camp Verde, AZ. Entry to the festivities at Fort Verde is free, and there will also be a free BBQ lunch. PGR has once again been asked to have a flag line up and standing at Fort Verde State Park when the motorcycle procession arrives and during the opening ceremonies.

Briefing: 12:15 pm
Flag Line: Approximately 12:30 PM
Directions: Take I-17 to Exit 285 (General Crook Trail in Camp Verde). Go to the end of Gen. Crook Trail, turn right, then turn left at the traffic light (Main Street). Turn right (East) onto Hollamon Street (at the intersection of Hollamon St. & Main Street – there will be signage on the right saying “Historic Fort Verde State Park” and also signage saying “ALR Run”). Then turn left onto Wood Street; follow Wood Street around the curve to the right (becomes E. Hance St). PGR parking will be through a gate on your right.
