Our assistance has been requested to Welcome Home from Iraq, US Army PVT Eric Stenberg. Eric performed some missions with us last year before he announced that he was being deployed. I told him to make sure we knew about it when he returned. Erik is a member of the 937th combat engineering squad. Erik had an unfortunate meeting with a land mine, received a concussion and then returned to duty. He is on leave for a few weeks before reporting to Europe and eventually Afghanistan. Erik recently reupped and will be giving Uncle Sam another six years.
This mission will consist of the NJ PGR going down to the Philadelphia International Airport to welcome Erik back. After that, we will escort him back to his waiting family and friends in Vineland, NJ. I will be in touch with Frank Tacey in Region 6 to help us out with the Philly portion of the escort. All ride itineraries and staging information will follow. Erik’s plane is due to land at Philadelphia International Airport at 10:45AM on Sunday morning, 26JUL09.
