ABOUT THE MISSION:

On Saturday, Sept. 7, Yavapai County and the City of Prescott will welcome home Arizona National Guard Citizen-Soldiers, who were deployed in support of overseas-contingency operations from June 2018 to May 2019. The “Bushmasters” became the First Arizona Infantry in 1877, tasked to provide security to the citizens of the territory that would become the State of Arizona in 1912. The PGR is honored to provide an escort of our heroes from the Prescott National Guard Armory to downtown Prescott, and then to stand a flag line for their welcome home Ceremony.

9:30 AM – Briefing for Riders and procession & Circle of Honor
9:40 AM- KSU to American Legion Post 6 (202 S. Pleasant St.)
Two buses carrying our heroes will drop them off at American Legion Post 6. After that the buses will park in the parking lot of the old First Baptist Church (entry is from the north side of Goodwin Street between Cortez Street and Marina Street). After the buses have parked, PGR motorcycles can also park in the Church parking lot.
Flags & Water:
Flags will not be provided
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.

The flag line will remain up until Charlie Company and the American Legion Post 6 Honor Guard have passed through the flag line and entered the Courthouse Plaza. After the Flag Line is dismissed, the PGR is invited to remain for the Welcome Home ceremonies on the Courthouse Plaza.

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in a Welcome Home Ceremony for Fort Drum troops returning from Afghanistan Sunday, December 2, at 5:00 AM. It will be an inside ceremony at Monti Physical Fitness Center. Ride Captains Maggie Cameron and Greg Pluhar will lead this flag line mission as part of Patriot Guard’s HOTH (Help On The Home Front).

Staging at 4:00 AM . Location: Monti Physical Fitness Center (formerly Pine Plains gym), Conway Road, Fort Drum.
