SUMMARY:Welcome Home
DESCRIPTION:Patriots: \nI am happy to announce one of our own native tar heels is coming home from Afghanistan via Ft Lewis\, WA. Newly promoted to SGT\, Kelly Carter is assigned to the 1stBn 1st Special Forces Group (ABN). Her father\, Timothy Carter is one of our own PGR brothers and it is very fitting that we welcome home his daughter. \nThis will be a flag line mission only in the terminal at RDU. We will be escorted from our staging area by the RDU Police Department to where we will park our vehicles and walk from there into the terminal. Because of operational security the Airlines and flight number will not be published but provided at the initial briefing. If you have flags\, please feel free to fly them. It is imperative that you make the staging time and we leave as a group to the parking area. If you miss the escort you will be on your own. \nItinerary is as follows**** You MUST attend the mission brief to travel with the group from Staging Area to Parking Area. \nMonday\, June 6\, 2016 \nStaging: 8:00 AM\nSheetz\n1600 Aviation Parkway\nMorrisville\, NC \nhttp://tiny.cc/9qlway \nMission Brief; 8:15 AM \nKSU at 8:30 for the short escorted movement from the Staging Area to the Parking Area. From there we will assemble our flags and move to the terminal. \nIt is my honor to serve as RCIC & POC for this mission with the assistance. Please contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. \nThank you for all you do! \nTom “Joker” Meece\, DC\ntemeece@yahoo.com \nSPECIAL NOTE: Safety is of our utmost priority. Every effort possible is made in planning and executing the PGR Mission statement in a manner that minimizes the inherit dangers of riding a motorcycle\, including riding in groups of all sizes and any situation. While the NCPG and its riders have a remarkable safety record in the execution of our missions\, infrequently members have been injured in unforeseen accidents. In an effort to mitigate the risk of preventable accidents\, all attendees who wish to ride in a Patriot Guard motorcycle escort or ride are asked to attend the pre-mission briefing. It will include a safety briefing\, and any unique ride information known to our RCIC that may be specific to the mission. Member safety and well-being is always a principal ongoing concern. Our RCIC’s are asked to stand-down from any mission that cannot be accomplished in relative safety or present unreasonable risk. This includes both rides and flag lines in inclement weather and conditions. It remains each individual PGR member’s responsibility to ride within their own comfort zone and be cognizant of their surroundings and skill limitations as well as any physical needs or limitations. If the ride and/or mission conditions present challenges beyond your skill\, comfort\, or needs you are expected to exercise good judgment in foregoing any planned participation.
