Honor Mission
Wayne J. Spears, Veteran
USN – WWII
West Monroe, Louisiana – 06-29-20

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Mr Spears has requested the presence of the PGR during the funeral service. This gentleman is the father of PGR rider Ms Darlene Spears LaBorde. This mission is extremely unique in that Mr Spears passed away 13 years ago, Darlenes mother also passed away a few days ago, hence, this is a two fold mission. Mr Spears was Honorably discharged from the US Navy on 27 July 1946. Subsequently no Military Honors were displayed. Mr Spears is now to be interred at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Mrs Spears, as a veteran spouse is to be interred at the same location, in a dual ceremony. The PGR will stand a flag line at the Funeral Home, to receive family and friends, then provide an escort to the cemetery.
