The family of Wayne Francis Grubb has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their hero for his service and sacrifice to his country. We are honored to do so.
Wayne served in the Army Air Corp during WWII from December 1942 to January 1946. He was assigned to the Western Pacific Region where he took part in anti-submarine activities and the air offensive on Japan. Citations earned include the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. His attained the rank of Corporal at discharge.
In civilian life Wayne was employed by Douglas Aircraft in the aerospace industry. He is survived by two sons and one daughter, four grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
