Warren served in the US Army from 25 January 1955 to 15 January 1957. He served in the 188th Airborne Infantry Regiment in Korea as a 111.17 Light Weapons Infantryman. He earned a Good Conduct Medal\, a Parachute Badge\, and the Sharpshooter Badge .45 cal Pistol. He was Honorably Discharged at the rank of SP3 (Technician) (E4).
