DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nWalter Patrick Diegnau\, Retired\nUSAF – Vietnam\nAlamogordo\, New Mexico – 04-03-21\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nSeventy-seven year old Walter Patrick Diegnau passed from this earth on 20 Mar 21 surrounded by friends. Walter served his country honorably in the US Air Force\, retiring at the rank of TSgt. Walt served for one year in Thailand during the Vietnam War as a Jet Engine Mechanic. He earned the following awards/decorations: Air Force Good Conduct Medal with three oak leaf clusters\, Air Force Longevity Service Award with two oak leaf clusters\, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award\, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal\, Vietnam Service Medal\, and Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm. TSgt Diegnau continued his service to his country as a member of the Alamogordo/Tularosa VFW Post 7686 for forty-five years and became a Legacy Gold Member. The PGR has been requested to stand a flag line during a memorial service at the VFW for Walt.
