Honor Mission
Walter Nelson Orcutt, Veteran
Atlanta, Texas – 12-29-19


After graduating from High School, Mr. Orcutt joined the United States Army and served from 1962 – 1965. He served in Battery B, 377th Artillery, 82nd Airborne Division. SP4 Orcutt earned the Good Conduct Medal, Parachutist Badge, and a letter of Commendation and was Honorably discharged June 17, 1965.  The week he was discharged from the Army, he was hired as a police officer in Twinsburg, Ohio, where he served for 24 years before retiring in 1989.  After his retirement from the police department, he became a Federal Police Officer with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs in Boise, Idaho, where he served from 1989 until 1997 at which time he retired a second time.
