Fellow PGR Riders,
It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that America has lost another true American hero.
The family of Walter Lee White has requested Patriot Guard Riders to stand and ride in honor of their hero. Walter enlisted in the United States Army in 1974 where proudly served for over seven years. After his departure from the active army, he joined the Alabama National Guard where he continued to serve until his retirement in 2006.
PGR will assemble at the Chevron Station at 2631 E South Blvd, Montgomery (next to the McDonalds) for a brief ride to the family residence; followed by our escorting the family to the Maggie Street Baptist Church (642 Maggie St.) where we will stand a flag line in his honor. After the memorial service is concluded, we will escort this hero and his family to the Alabama National Cemetery for his final roll call. We will have LEO escort through Montgomery.
