On 08 June 2019 four patriots on four bikes rode in respect for SGT Walter “Kenny” Wheeler. The RCIC started the briefing which included the family members and 2 PGR family members from North Carolina. The briefing ended with the reading of the PGR Invocation and a prayer from a family member. Promptly at 10:00am the escort including the hearse bearing the cremains of SGT Wheeler began and ended 65 miles later without incident. Upon arrival we were greeted by staked flags set by the Arkansas PGR. A respect line was set for the transfer from the coach to the graveside. The services were began with a family member leading the participants in a prayer and a short service. The RCIC and ARC presented the PGR Plaque and Invocation to a brother of SGT Wheeler. The Spiro VFW provided the military honors including 3 volleys, the playing of taps and folding and presentation of two U.S. flags with the services concluded afterward.

I would like to thank the family for including us in their celebration of a life well spent, the flag support of the Ft. Smith PGR member and those who rode this final ride for SGT Wheeler.

My appreciation for SGT Wheeler’s service to a grateful nation, Rest In Peace brother.
