ABOUT THE MISSION:
THIS IS A 3 PART MULTIPLE LOCATION, MULTIPLE DATE MISSION. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE MESSAGE TO DETERMINE IF YOU CAN ATTEND ANY OF THE SERVICES.
The family of Senior Master Sergeant Walter (USAF) (Ret) Joseph Chelchowski has requested that the Patriot Guard Riders be present as his family and friends have a celebration of his life, and quite a life he led. He lived to the age of 94. The Hero was drafted into the US Army Air Corps during World War II and flew combat missions over Germany and Italy. After the war, he continued his service in the US Navy Reserves for a time then joined the US Air Force in time to serve combat tours in both Korea and Vietnam. His son was in Vietnam at the same time as his Dad. He retired in 1976 with 33 years service. He was an active member of VFW Post 5877 in Aiken and was a celebrant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. For more information about this amazing Hero please refer to his Obituary. [1]
