Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, AL


Fellow Riders,

It is with heavy heart that I must inform you that Alabama and America has lost another true American hero. The family of Cpl. Walter Harold Peters has requested the Patriot Guard to stand in honor of him. Mr. Peters passed away at the age of 66 on May 20, 2016.

Mr. Peters served in Vietnam with U.S. Marines Corps and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ device, Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal w/ 1 star, Good Conduct Medal and an Honorable Discharge. It is our honor to stand for this true American Hero.

This is a Flag line only service at the Committal Shelter at 1000 hrs.

His ashes will be placed in ground at the cemetery.
