Walter F. Tiefenauer\, Jr. (91 yrs.) has requested the Presence of the Patriot Guard for the final mission of their loved one. MSG. Tiefenauer served his country from 1948 to 1971 (23 yrs.). He served 2 tours in Korea and 2 tours in Vietnam. While working on missiles located in White Sands\, New Mexico\, he was awarded the highest honor in peace time. He was cited by President J.F. Kennedy for distinguishing himself by heroism and was awarded the Soldier’s Medal. During his career he had earned numerous Medals and Awards and shook the hands of 3 Presidents\, Harry S.Truman\, Richard M.Nixon as well as J.F.
