ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of Walter E. Castleberry has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor his memory and service to our Country by standing a Flag Line at his funeral service, serving as his pall bearers, joining him on his final ride to his eternal resting place and again standing a Flag Line at his interment service.
Mr Castleberry was served in the US Army, and was awarded the following awards. National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Expert Marksmanship Badge (Rifle M-14), Expert Marksmanship Badge (Pistol .45 Cal)

Riders will stage in the parking lot of Golden Gate Church of God in Christ for a short mission brief. At the conclusion of the brief, we will establish the Flag Line and “Stand Tall and Silent” as we await the arrival of Mr. Castleberry, family and friends. When the service begins, flags will be returned to the support vehicle, furled and stowed. A short safety briefing will be given for those riders participating in the procession. Those riders not in the procession will be dismissed to reconvene at DFW National Cemetery for the interment service.

Riders will stage at the DFW National Cemetery Visitor’s Center for a short mission brief. Honor Bikes arriving from the church will lead the procession into the appropriate staging lane and prepare for continuance to the committal shelter. The remaining riders will move to the designated committal shelter, set the flags and establish the Flag Line to await the arrival of Mr. Castleberry, family and friends. When directed, riders will return the flags to the storage area, have a short debriefing and be dismissed.
