Walter B. “Buster” Stone, KIA

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of 2nd Lt Walter B. “Buster” Stone has honored the Patriot Guard by inviting us to be a part of Lt Buster Stone’s home coming. Lt Stone was a 24-year-old P-47 Thunderbolt pilot assigned to the 350 Fighter Sqdn., 353 Fighter Group during WW II. On 22 Oct,1943, while on a bomber escort mission, his aircraft crashed in Northwest France. Lt Buster Stone is now coming home. The Patriot Guard will escort Lt Buster Stone from the Pensacola International Airport to Foreman Funeral Home, 1516, MLK Expressway Andalusia Al on 9 May 2019.

Special Instructions:

It is suggested that while riding with the Patriot Guard Riders you wear long sleeve shirts or jackets, long trousers, long fingered gloves, DOT approved helmets (required in Al.), leather footwear that covers the ankles, and appropriate eye protection.
