Vivian “Shorty” Votava

U.S. Army Veteran – Korea

Neillsville, WI
Monday, June 20, 2016

Vivian “Shorty” Votava, age 88, of Neillsville, WI died Wednesday, June 15, in Marshfield, WI. Vivian Votava was born on May 20, 1928 in Pisek, North Dakota and his family moved to Wisconsin where Vivian attended school in Stetsonville. They later moved to Neillsville and Shorty entered the United States Army and served overseas in the Korean War. After his return, he met and married Devonne and they have been together 62 years.

Shorty was an “All American” kind of guy. He was a veteran, a woodworker, fisherman, farmer, and pet shop owner, the kind of guy we all want to know and many want to emulate. Our country owes a lot to men like this and we have been invited to attend to the family and friends as they remember Shorty.
