ABOUT THE MISSION:
Patriots we have been requested to do a ride by and salute for SGT Virie E. “Gene” Long, who is celebrating his 99th birthday. SGT Long served with the AAF, as a Aerial Engineer, stationed at the 593rd AAF Base.
He was awarded the American Theater Service medal w/stripe; Good Conduct; WWII Victory Medal; Expert 44 Carbine; and Badge Airplane Mechanic. As SGT Long stood for us, it will be our honor to honor this hero on his 99th birthday.
