Virgil Barnett

Honor Mission
Virgil Barnett, Veteran
USA – Vietnam
Maple Valley, Washington – 06-21-19

ABOUT THE MISSION:

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders, we have been invited by the family of Virgil Barnett to attend his final military honors. SSG Barnett spent 23 years in the Army and retired in 1990. His last duty station was in Georgia with the 41st Field Artillery Battalion. Virgil had quite a few awards and commendations during his 23 year tenure, to include: Purple Heart (earned in Vietnam), National Defense Medal, Service Medal, Army Good Conduct (W/6 stars), Overseas Medal (W/4 stars) Army Commendation, Vietnam Campaign, Republic of Vietnam W/60 Device, Vietnam Gallantry W/Palm Device, and Expert Rifle Badge. Virgil loved bowling and volunteered at a lot of leagues. He was a professional bowler at one point. He also worked for Boeing after retiring from the military, but he really enjoyed delivering high-end automobiles to people all over the state. Virgil loved his family and will be sorely missed. Let’s send this hero off with the honors he so deserves and has earned!
