Arlington National Cemetery

The family of SgtMaj Victor J. Guerra, Sr., has requested the Patriot Guard stand with them at his interment in Arlington National Cemetery.  SgtMaj Guerra died on 23 October 2018.  SgtMaj Guerra served a total of 44+ years, including 37 years active duty.  He was  engaged in several combat ops in Vietnam and in 1983 was part of the multi-national peacekeeping force in Beirut, Lebanon with Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 8th Marines, 24th Marine Amphibious Unit.  His many awards and commendations include Navy Cross, 3 Purple Hearts, Meritorious Service Medal, Combat Action Ribbon w/1 Star, Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal w/2 Stars, Vietnam Service Medal w/4 Stars, RVN Gallantry Cross Medal w/Palm and the Vietnam Campaign Medal, to name but a few. He is survived by a large and loving family and will be missed by all.
