Vicente Castellanos, Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Mr. Vicente Castellanos has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to stand a silent flag line in honor of his service to our country.

Mr. Castellanos served in the United States Air Force from 1961 thru 1964 attaining the rank of Airman 1st Class. Vicente was a ground radio communications repairman and was awarded the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Citation, and Communications Squadron DTD award.

Upon Mr. Castellanos’ honorable discharge in 1964, he was employed by General Motors and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from SVSU and a Masters degree from CMU.

Mr. Castellanos supported many community activities that include CAN Council, Delta College Somos Hispanos, SVSU Board of Fellows and the Commission on Aging at both the state and federal level.

Vicente is survived by his wife Karla of 47 years, two children, and many extended family.

Please join us to stand our flag line in honor of Mr. Castellanos’ service to our country and to support his family in this time of grief.
