United We stand Parade and Memorial Service
Alamogordo, New Mexico – 09-11-19

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The United We Stand Planning Committee has once again requested the participation of the PGR this year in the annual 9-11 Parade and Memorial Service. This mission is to honor and remember those Firefighters, Police Officers, EMS Personnel, and Civilians who’s lives were lost as a direct result of the tragedy of 9-11-01.  We will lead the parade, following the honor guard from the Alamogordo High School Air Force JROTC, with a missing man formation followed by the remainder of the PGR members present.
Following the parade we will provide a flag line (cordon) to greet those attending the Memorial Service.  During the service we will stand a flag line in front of the First Responder Apparatus.

Special Instructions:

We will stage in the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market parking lot and move in a group to the parade lineup.  Staging will be at 4:00 p.m, briefing at 4:15, and KSU at 4:25.
I would like us to be “on line” at the parade starting point (corner of Indian Wells and Juniper) NLT 4:30.  Anyone interested in being part of the Missing Man Formation for the parade please contact the RC for this mission ASAP.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR LEADERSHIP TEAM MEMBERS (ASC & RC):  The 9/11 committee is requesting the leadership from all organizations participating in the parade and following ceremony to be in Class A uniforms.  In order to comply with this request I am asking that all Leadership Team Members dress in white shirt, black tie, and white gloves for the ceremony.  Anyone who is a member of another organization, please forward this mission information to your organization.  We want to have maximum participation for this mission. We Must Never Forget!
Free hot dogs will be provided prior to the start of the Memorial Service.
Flags & Water:

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.
