ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders are honored to stand for Ty Clawson as he once stood for us. SP4 Ty Clawson served in the United States Army from 1984 until 1987. SP4 Clawson served as an Administrative Specialist during his assignment to Headquarters Headquarters Detachment, 1/7TH Special Forces Group (A). Some of his awards include the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Good Conduct Medal, and the Parachutist Badge.

Special Instructions:

After the briefing, we will stand a flag line as family and friends arrive for the 11:00 am service. After the service, we will proceed to SP4 Clawson’s final resting place, the Georgia Veterans Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia. To those that are planning on going to Milledgeville we will be riding along with SP4 Clawson’s brother, who is a longtime Patriot Guard Rider and will be carrying our heroes cremains on his motorcycle.
Coronavirus precaution disclosure:
Please bring a mask and wash hands often, be prepared to follow the guidelines from state and local officials as well as facility or cemetery guidelines to be outlined at the mission briefing.
A general record of attendees will be held by the ride captain for a period not to exceed 2 weeks in the case of the need for contact tracing. If you test positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of attending a mission please contact Ride Captain with that information, your name will NOT be disclosed.
Those who are sick, have a household member or other close contact who is sick should not attend and those who have a higher risk of severe illness should weigh the benefits of in-person attendance against the risk of exposure to a person with COVID-19, especially if recommendations for wearing masks and social distancing may be difficult to follow for themselves or others.
