Home Dedication Ceremony

ABOUT THE MISSION:

On February 07, 2007, during his third deployment, SFC Travis Vendela, a senior NCO on a reconnaissance unit in the US Army, received orders to establish a foothold on the bridge above the Tigris River. His Humvee was leading a convoy when it was struck twice by explosively formed penetrators (EFP). He lost both legs above the knee. He also suffered a severely fractured pelvis, a fractured elbow, a shattered jaw, C3 and C4 spine fractures, and a traumatic brain injury. Thank you, SFC Travis Vendela, for your service.  The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation will present SFC Vendela with the key to his specially adapted, mortgage-free Smart Home.

KSU: 9:30 AM  This will be a HOTH format.
The ceremony will begin in Huntsville at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 03, 2020. We will escort SFC Travis Vendela to his new home, where we will stand a flag line for the ceremony.
Weather: Sunny with a 10% chance of showers and a high of 85. Anyone attending in a cage and willing to transport flags please contact the Ride Captain.

Flags will be provided
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
