This escort is a distance of 60 miles on Route 5 & 20 and Route 96A. Please ensure you have sufficient fuel, and ensure your bike flags are properly placed and securely attached for highway speeds.

Please contact me if you have groups of members who wish to join in the escort along the way. In addition, I would welcome members in the Romulus area to stage directly at the Cemetery to welcome the escort with a Flag Line.

Mission Narrative:
James P. Ross, Sr. began his Military career by entering the US Navy in 1950, spending 3-1/2 years as a sailor, stationed aboard the USS John R. Pierce (DD-753). In 1954 he enlisted in the US Air Force, from which he retired in 1971 as a TSGT (E-6.) Mr. Ross had an illustrious career as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, and served with several different Strategic Air Command Squadrons, including as a Crew Chief on B-52 Bombers. For his service to our Nation, TSGT Ross was awarded: National Defense Service Medal w/1 Bronze Star; Air Force Outstanding Unit Award; Air Force Longevity Service Award w/3 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters; Air Force Good Conduct Medal w/1 Oak Leaf Cluster; Navy Good Conduct Medal; Navy Occupation Service Medal; Good Conduct Medal w/3 Bronze Loops; Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon.
