The family of TSgt Herbert Fritz has graciously requested the Patriot Guard Rider’s presence as they show their final respects and lay their loved one to rest.
TSgt Fritz served his Country in the U.S. Air Force and performed duties as an Aircraft Mechanic (Turboprop Propulsion) and a Fire Fighter.
TSgt Fritz spent his first 14 years of military service in SAC (Strategic Air Command) as an Aircraft Mechanic, and then finished his career as a Fire Fighter with an Air Rescue Squadron in Westhampton, NY.
Upon completion of his military service, TSgt Fritz received an Honorable Discharge and awarded the Army of Occupation Medal Japan, WWII Victory Medal (even though his service was post WWII), AFR Meritorious Service Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon and an Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. No additional military related information is available at this time.
During his post military service, TSgt Fritz work for and retired from Pan American Airlines after 25 years and served his community at Lakeland Volunteer Fire Department in NY. Vice Commander at VFW Post 10209 in Spring Hill, FL., and donated much of his time at Day Star Life Center, Weeki Wachee, FL.
There will be an Interment Service immediately following the Funeral Service at the same location. VFW Post 10209 and Honor Guard from MacDill AFB will officiate the service.
Please bring your 3 X 5 American Flags and join us as we stand in silent Honor and Respect for our U.S. Air Force (Retired) Hero and his family.
