Honor Mission
Timothy O’Brien, Veteran
USN, USNR – Vietnam

ABOUT THE MISSION:

Timothy O’Brien is a United States Navy Veteran who entered active duty on Oct. 6, 1969. Tim served 4 yrs., including 3 years, 5 months, and 14 days of foreign service. Tim’s primary MOS (Military Occupation Specialty) was ADJ-6410 – Aviation Machinist Mate – F-110 Turbofan Jet Engine First Degree Repair/IMA Technician, with a secondary specialty of ADJ-8331 – EA-6B Systems Organizational Maintenance Technician.
Tim served aboard the USS Kitty Hawk. On Oct. 5, 1973 and was released from active duty and transferred to the United States Naval Reserve. Tim’s last duty assignment was with Attack Squadron Fifty-Two. On Oct. 5, 1975, having attained the rank of ADJ3 – Machinist Mate 3rd Class, Pay grade E4, Tim was honorably discharged.
During his service to our country, Tim received the following for his service to our country: National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Service Medal .It is our honor to stand in silent reverence as we show respect and gratitude to this hero for his sacrifices made for this nation.

Following CDC/Government guidelines/mandates and directives from our State Captain, the following precautions are to be followed:
All members are required to wear a face mask/cloth covering at all times during the mission. There are no exceptions.
If you are unable to wear a mask, we ask that you stand down and stay home.
 No handshakes, elbow bumps, or hugs for greetings and goodbyes.
If you feel ill or have a temperature, please stay home until you improve.
If you have a medical condition(s) that make you at high risk we ask that you please stand down until conditions improve.
Maintain a minimum of six-foot distance from other members when standing the flag line.
Maintain at least 15 feet separation from all family members, cemetery personnel, Honor Guard, funeral home staff, clergy, etc.
Wash your hands before, during (as practical), and after the mission.
No snacks will be provided by flag support and members should not bring any to share either.

Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water will be provided, by the flag support person and passed out only by that person.
