Timothy Joseph Lawrence Comment

  1. Mission Complete: 29 August 2019 – SSG Timothy Joseph Lawrence, USA (Ret), Viet Nam Veteran, Tecumseh, OK

On Thursday, 29 August 2019 there were 8 Patriot Guard Riders on 7 bikes and 1 cage who attended the mission to Honor the Military Service of USA (Ret) Viet Nam Veteran SSG Timothy Joseph Lawrence.

Flags were staked at the church, and the briefing was held, followed by a moment of silence for the Blue Star, Silver Star & Gold Star families, POWs and MIAs. A prayer asking comfort for the grieving family, a safe mission and protection for our military personnel engaged in the Global War on Terror was also said.

Riders stood the Flag Line with both the American and Army service flag as they manned the doors while the family and friends arrived for the service.

At the start of the service, Riders retrieved the flags and stored them for the next mission before being dismissed, except for those making presentations.

At the conclusion of the services PGR members read the PGR Plaque and PGR Invocation and presented them to the Hero’s wife, then thanked the family for inviting us to come and honor the military service of their loved one.

Thank you to the PGR Riders that took time out of their day to attend this mission. Your presence made a difference to this family.

Most of all, thank you SSG Timothy Joseph Lawrence, for your service to this great nation. Your watch is complete, and you will not be forgotten.

    Respectfully,
    RCIC Ray “rayneman” Gehrig
