ABOUT THE MISSION:
SSG Nelson served his nation honorably from 1969 until 1989. He served as a helicopter aircraft maintenance supervisor and earned the air assault bade and airframe and power plant license. His service included many tours in West Germany, including time in Fulda, Germany with the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, also known as “The Blackhorse Regiment.”

After the Mission Brief, Honor bikes will move to the lane and Riders will move to the shelter to establish the Flag Line and await the arrival of SSG Nelson’s family and friends. At the conclusion of the service, flags will be returned to the storage unit, and Riders will then be debriefed and dismissed.
